Although these photos probably represent the "worst case scenario", it is common nonetheless. You would probably have to commend a number of people for caring enough about animals in general to make this startling recovery possible. But it doesn't just happen. It all starts with a person that is willing to give an enormous amount of time, energy and resources to bring it all together. Thank you Dorie.
I know the human factors involved, good and bad. But I also think that these photos are a testament to a wonderful breed. Jacc shines in Akita pride, the noble spirit that will not be denied.
